Florence: a shared identity. An Officine Gullo barbecue in ACF Fiorentina's signature purple

A subtle thread connects two worlds deeply rooted in Florence. On one side is ACF Fiorentina, which for nearly a century has embodied the city’s colours and sense of belonging; on the other is Officine Gullo, which interprets Florence’s manufacturing heritage through handcrafted metal kitchens and collections created for an international clientele.

This meeting has given rise to a special project: an exclusive Officine Gullo barbecue, custom-made for ACF Fiorentina and finished in the unmistakable shade of purple that defines the club. Designed to become part of everyday life at Viola Park, it reinterprets one of the most iconic products in the brand’s Outdoor collection through the team’s visual identity.

Located within Viola Park, the barbecue will be at the heart of barbecues, internal events and shared moments for the team and staff. More than a functional element, it becomes a gathering place where design meets the pleasure of sharing and hospitality becomes part of the experience.

The project also creates a dialogue between two places that tell the story of Florence in different ways. On one side is Viola Park, the campus designed by Archea Associati, where sport, architecture and club life have found a new contemporary home. On the other is Officine Gullo House, housed within a former 13th-century chapel in the monumental complex of Ognissanti: a space where the brand welcomes architects, designers, clients and the international press through experiences dedicated to cuisine, art, the culture of hospitality and Florentine savoir-faire.

Although they belong to different worlds, both express Florence through what they do best: ACF Fiorentina through sport and a sense of belonging; Officine Gullo through design, craftsmanship and conviviality. The barbecue created for Viola Park thus becomes the meeting point between these two expressions of the city, transforming a design object into a symbol of shared identity.
